Sodium Hypochloride

Sodium hypochlorite is a chemical compound that’s commonly used as bleach in household cleaners and laundry additives. It’s also used in water treatment, as a disinfectant, and in some wound care products. 

Properties 

• A clear, slightly yellow or green liquid with a strong chlorine odor.
• An alkaline inorganic chemical compound with the formula NaOClNaOClNaOCl.
• Soluble in water.
• A caustic chemical that can cause injury if it contacts tissues.
