FERROUS CHLORIDE

• Ferrous chloride is used primarily in phosphate precipitation with applications I heavy metal removal, industrial effluent treatment and as a filter aid and in the reduction of chrome (VI).
• Chemical handling and dosing requirements are as for ferric chloride.
• Ferrous chloride also exhibits an optimum pH band. This should be determined in the laboratory.
