FERRIC CHLORIDE

FERRIC CHLORIDE is a liquid inorganic coagulant widely employed in clarification, colour
removal, organics removal, phosphate, and heavy metal precipitation.
FERRIC CHLORIDE is used, in a wide range of applications including coagulation of raw and effluent waters and the
precipitation of phosphate in sewage treatment. FERRIC CHLORIDE has been approved by NSF/ANSI Standard 60 for
the treatment of potable water at dosages up to 250 mg/l. It can be used alone or in combination with a
polyelectolyte coagulant, i.e. ULTRAFLOC5110, for floc enhancement.
FERRIC CHLORIDE generally exhibits an optimum pH band and it is important to determine this for optimum
efficiencies. The product is normally dosed undiluted using corrosion resistant positive displacement pumps.
